Our precious girl got a BIG GIRL hair cut yesterday. Next week we celebrate Mia's 3rd Birthday and we decided to get a haircut. The long hair was great but it always had to be pulled back from her face and everytime we picked her up from school, her barrette/clip for the day vanished into a place where the socks must go from the dryer. We will miss the ponytails but she looks a litttle more stylish. She loves it and I think it looks adorable on her. We left her bangs long and I can always put a cute clip or bow to pull it back. Mike and I think it makes her look older and for that part we don't like it. Where has our baby girl gone? She gives orders, talks, and acts like a miniature adult. Saturday is her Bday party and the next week we are off to visit Mickey and Minnie. We even scored some seats to Chef Mickey's for breakfast. When I told her we were having breakfast with the Disney clan, she just opened her mouth and said YYEEEAAAAA!!

The Halloween/Fall
Boxes have come down
from the attic and Ms. Mia
was her nosey usual self and
wanted to get into everything.
So we took some of the masks
out of the costume box.
She wanted her Abuelo
to join in on the fun too!

Harvest Moon &
Paper Lanterns

Sunday we celebrated Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon with our local ladies. Our event kicked off on the beach, late afternoon and ended at sundown with the most beautiful moon over the water. The reflection of the moon off the water was wonderful. The girls were able to paint, color, or add stickers and decorate their own paper lanterns. I hope someone will share their photos of the girls on the beach with their lanterns and flashlights. My camera shots came out to dark to post. All the families pitched in and brought something to eat and the girls had a good time running around and giggling. We hope to get together more often, the company was great!!

Mia Ballerina
This week Mia started ballet class. It was so cute to see all the little girls in their leotards. The class is for 3 year olds, but since Mia will be 3 next month they let her join now. Some of the girls have taken the class before as they are almost 4, so I had to remind myself that Mia was the youngest in the class. This shot is one of the few times Mia was looking at the teacher and following her directions. The other times she was looking at her self in the mirror and smiling while looking at me. I kept motioning for her to turn around and listen to the teacher. Overall, they said since this is her first lesson, it is to be expected. None the less, I thought she looked adorable!

This Labor Day weekend we went camping to St. Augustine. Both Mike and I haven't been there since we were kids so we thought a little holiday road trip would be a good idea. It was great, we met up with our friends Dave and Jackie that live about 45 minutes south of where we were. We were busy and Mia had a ball. She loved sleeping in the bunk beds and watching her movies. The weather was great and we got to see a lot. On the drive home we took a scenic route and came upon a dolphin conservation center and Mia loved getting close and personal with the dolphins. It was a small quaint place with very little people so we got to see them do tricks and come up on the edge of the glass. She was giggling when they did that.
