Birthday Party fit for a Princess

this year Mia's birthday party was a pamper party. Mia and 9 of her closest friends were treated to a hair updo, there nails painted and some glitter makeup. The Mommy's even got a 15 minute massage! The party was a hit and everyone had a blast! All the princess's were asked to come in their favorite princess dress and were all treated to lunch at the Royal Table!

Mia's friend had her birthday party where Mia's 3rd birthday was celebrated last year. The kids really love the animals and the farm does all the work.

Disney On Ice
a couple of weeks ago, we got to see Disney on Ice. Mia was standing up and dancing in front of her seat. As each princess came out, she would look at me and say, "Mommy, I think that is my favorite princess" They were all her favorites by nights end. We got some good seats and I must say it was very enjoyable. We look forward to seeing another ice show again!

Mia finally met Zachary!
Zach is my friend Erin's son and of course, Mia is sooo boy crazy that after her 10 minute 'I'm shy" stint, she was all over him. We went to Broward for a weekend visit and had breakfast with Erin, her Mom and Zach. We hope they come to visit us soon!!!!

Mommy's Birthday Celebration!
my perfect birthday weekend started with a trip to Orlando's Downtown Disney to see the Cirque du Soleil show 'La Nouba' and a yummy dinner afterwards. The next morning we headed home and my awesome father in-law had bought some delicious steaks to throw on the grill. We hung around in the pool all day! I call that a wonderful weekend!!!

Magnolia

last year we planted a magnolia tree to symbolize Mia's hometown in China. Chongqing's city tree is the Evergreen Magnolia, which blooms flowers similar to the Magnolia tree's found here in America. It is now starting to bloom beautifully so I decided to snap some photos and try out my new macro lense. Our wish is for Mia to grow along with this special tree, so she can see why we planted it in her honor.

Princess Day last Friday Mia's summer program at school finished with a Princess for the Day Parade. All week the girls got their nails done and learned about table etiquette and had a pampered week. Parents were invited on Friday afternoon for a parade with the girls all dressed up. It was so cute! When Mia walked down the aisle, she was waving and we were smiling from ear to ear.

Meemaw and Dylan come

to FL for a visit!

Mia enjoyed meeting Meemaw for the first time and of course was in awe at her cousin Dylan.

At one point she said he was 'gorgeous'! Although it was a short and wonderful visit,

we hope that we will get to see them more often!

Friday night was Mia's 'Aerial Circus' performance. Her gymanstics class participated in a show that celebrated it's 35th year. Her class danced to the song from Shrek and it was so cute. Above is Mia shaking her "booty" in her routine. The older girls who participated were so talented and at times I gasped at some of their stunts. I must admit, I think my kid may be one of those stunt girls in the future. Of course, both sets of grandparents attended along with Stephanie, Tami and Natalie. Afterwards, we celebrated beachside for a yummy dinner.

Daddy and Mia found a box turtle crossing the road and now it is our pet! Mia originally name him Rocket Rocketship but settled on the name Sassy. Now we are making a pen for him under the trees and Mia is helping us feed and take care of him.
