I love this book ! ! !

Christmas 2004

Christmas Eve this year was at our home. We hope next year will be at our new house. We received great gifts (many for the new house). My sister bought me this book called " I Love You Like Crazy Cakes" by Rose Lewis and Jane Dyer. When it arrived and I read it, I cried. It is a story I will read to Mia. It is a story that was written by a woman who celebrates the love and joy her adoption has brought her. It is illustrated and definately a book to read at bedtime. I love it!!

Thanksgiving 2004!! That's when it all began.

After discussing adoption and its different options, Mike and I have decided to meet with a family who has adopted a girl from China and is going back for their second child in a couple of months. Graciously they invited us over on Thanksgiving Day after their dinner and before they left to go to visit family. We met their daughter (adorable) and asked lots and lots of questions. They shared their scrapbook with us and we followed their trip entirely. And coincidently, Jeff is a City of Miami Firefighter and as most of you know Mike's dad is retired from the same department. I believe in fate, what are the chances of knowing someone who would refer me to the Fitzgerald's who live in Weston around the corner from my parents and then to find out he's a firemen from Miami.

We did some research and were undecided on an agency until we met The Fitzgerald's. They spoke highly of USAA, Norman, and the China team.

Needless to say after visiting them, I did not feel like eating anything. My stomach had butterflies and we couldn't wait to share the news.
