3 year old update
Friday was Mia's 3 year old check up. Mia is now 39 1/4 " tall and 38 lbs. So that puts her at 90% for height and 70% for weight. So you know that means??? 3T for shirts and 18-24 months for shorts and pants and of course the pants are floods. Thank god we live in FL and her jeans look cute. I don't know what I would do if we had a winter with snow. I would be at the seamstress a lot I guess. I am on the committee for a new park that is going to be built in our development and we had an event to introduce the neighborhood to the site of where it will be. The original owner of the property donated 8 acres to the county for a future park. So I am in charge of all the children stuff. This past Saturday I did face painting at an event held there, while I corralled my Friend Tami and her daughter Tami to help sell popcorn and Mike and my Dad to work the inflatable slide and bungee run. We had a bake sale held by the Girl Scouts . I must have painted at least 70 faces. The event was free and I had someone ask me for cards, CARDS? I have never done this before!!! It was fun and the kids loved it. In this economy with so many cutbacks, I hope our park gets off the ground sooner than later. Sorry our posts have been sporadic it is because we have been very busy, and with the holiday season approaching its going to get busier!!!!! YIKES!
This past week my aunts came in for a visit to get away from the cold in NY, and Estelle came as well. Estelle is a very close family friend and has been battling lung cancer for several months now and was fortunate enough to be able to visit us this trip. We are so happy we were able to spend some time with her and we hope she joins my aunts in March for another visit. We will continue to keep her in our prayers.This picture above, Mia was sharing her princess crowns with her. Below my aunt read Mia a book before bedtime and it happens to be one of her favorites Goodnight Moon. We enjoyed their visit and can't wait to see them after the holidays!
Mia had a wonderful time at Disney and this time Daddy joined in on the fun. The first 2 days my best friend Joey and her daughter Alyssa joined us and we did Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom. Then Daddy came up and it was just the three of us. My friend Tamara helped me out and got us breakfast at Chef Mickey's on Saturday morning and Mia was soooo excited. She was yelling over to the characters from the table before they made their rounds to our table. Mia and I usually go to Disney with one of my girfriends and their children, but this time, Mike got to see how excited she gets when the princess's dance on stage or when we go on a ride.

Saturday Mia had her birthday party on the farm. It was great!
