we are sooooo excited!

We won a Disney Celebration sweepstakes!!!

earlier in the year, I entered daily for this sweepstakes and we won! I just received our confirmation with dates. We won 1 night in Cinderella's Castle and 1 night at The Grand Floridian along with 3 day ticket passes for 4 people. We will be having dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table and a private photo session with our choice of Disney characters (Mia chose Belle, her favorite princess). We had to have some paperwork notarized and releases sent back, but today, we received our confirmation with dates. We will be there December 18-20. I had to choose 3 different dates as backups and it happened to be the weekend right before Christmas. We will be there when the weather is perfect and the park is decorated so beautiful. Although Mia and I are season pass holders, we can save those unused passes for Daddy to join us more often throughout the year. You can't imagine how excited Mia was when she found out that she is going to sleep in Cinderella's castle. I understand that they take very good care of you and they arrange for a special area for us to watch the parade and fireworks. What a once in a lifetime opportunity. The castle is never rented for money, just used as special giveaways for special occasions!

last weekend Grandaddy and Grandma T came for a visit. Mia enjoys her time with them so much!

we are having a busy fun summer and we are enjoying every minute of it. Mia is talking up a storm and is starting to put the sounds of letters together to form basic words when she is reading her books. We are thrilled and are getting some books that our friend recommended to us to help her on her way. We have completed swimming lessons and have removed the child safety fence that surrounds our pool. Mia is able to swim the length of the pool and comes up for her breaths on long lengths. She loves to do her "flip overs" in the pool and loves to show her grandma and grandpa her somersaults. We of course are enjoying the fence down because our deck around the pool is bigger!

Speedy

Mia loves to ride her bike and she just flies down the street. You can just see it in her facial expression how much she loves to go fast. We have a real thriller seeker on our hands!

Holiday Weekend with Family and Friends

after careful consideration and thinking we realize the the whole private thing was going to make it difficult for some family members, as they have to get a google name and password. Family and close friends are what this blog is about anyways. We feel that looking at pictures of Mia and our family is really only a part of really getting to experience what a fun loving , beautiful, smart little girl we have. Spending any time with our daughter is a privilege, and a privilege that many of you have experienced. With that being said, thank you to all that emailed me privately to gain access to our blog and I'm sure you'll find the same ol' happenings going on around here!

Happy 4th of July 2009

Marco Time . . . .

we have arrived in Marco Island for our yearly summer vacation. We have been here for 2 days and so far the weather has been great. We get a thunderstorm late every evening, but hey, better at night than during the day! Today Mia was fishing with Daddy on the dock and she wanted to know after about 5 minutes, why she hadn't caught a fish yet. Mike said, "I've been fishing for 2 days and haven't caught anything!" Let's hope our luck gets better.

these shots were taken outside in our backyard. We have an outdoor shower and on most summer nights Mia asks to take her shower out there. We love it because, it saves on the long baths that I have to practically bribe her to get out of! I love how the lense blurs out our white fence in the background.
