Mia had a great time celebrating The New Year with her new Chinese friends. I tried to snap some good photos of the event, but it's hard to snap photos when everyone is running around. We can't wait til our next get together : )

Today Mia went to have her check up and she now weighs 22 lbs. 15 oz (48% percentile) and is 32 3/4" tall (85% percentile). She got three shots and you wouldn't even know it! She was running around giggling and picking up leaves.

Florida is getting a cold front and I broke out the jacket. It was a little too cold for a sweatshirt. Her coat was a little big but it did the job. It was 80 degrees a couple of days ago and now we are chilly. Tomorrow we are celebrating the New Year with our Treasure Coast FCC group. It should be nice and I will post pics then.

Busy Busy Weekend!
We headed back to Broward to visit and see Grandaddy and Theresa get married. Mia got to meet some people who know alot about her , but haven't met her yet. We didn't make my best friends husband's surprise "40" birthday and I hope they forgive us. It was a jammed packed weekend and we are exhausted. Mia did great with all the hustle and bustle. I love living where we live now, but we sure do miss our friends (the ones that didn't move up) . Mia was the life of the party on Saturday night, dancing and clapping her hands. She loved the music and everyone was enjoying her. We will be having our 6 month post placement homestudy done this month and it blows my mind how fast the time has gone by.

It truly captures Mia's beauty and innocence. . .

Mia is so playful and she just loves to have fun! (sorta like mom i guess) Here she is on her bouncing Zebra. She also loves her blanket, she loves to snuggle with it before bed and she even took it with her on her Zebra. I can't believe in a couple of weeks, we will have been a family of 3 for 6 months. Where does the time go?

It is January but not to cold to be at the beach. The sun was shining but the breeze was a little chilly. Mike wanted to go surf fishing and test out his new Christmas present, so Mia and I joined him. Mia and I had a liitle picnic and then went for a walk. We fed the seagulls some of her cheese puffs and she was just looking around at the swarm of birds coming our way. Mia enjoyed sitting in the sand and throwing handfuls up in the air. Much to our surprise, she never put any in her mouth. When we got home and I changed her diaper, I found more sand :) . At times she would dart toward the shore to get her feet wet. What a workout! Long gone are the days of sitting in the beach chair reading a book!!!!

The sun was shining and a little chilly for the pool, but perfect for a little misting from the hose. The suit was a little big, but I couldn't refuse!

Mia's New Helmet......

Mia is starting to ride her tricycle and because she is a little wobbly getting on and off, Mike and I decided to introduce her to her first helmet. When we went shopping for it, we tried it on in the store and she cried bloody murder when we put in on her head. We were hysterically laughing at her, she looked so cute with it on and she hated it at first. We decided to put in on when she was playing in the house and she didn't mind it to much. We let her push herself around and she doesn't even notice the helmet anymore.

Happy Birthday Daddy ! ! !

Mia loves her Daddy and she LOVES when we read books to her. She points to her bookshelf and says "Book" over and over. When we go to reach for the book she get so excited and starts to giggle as if we were tickling her. She is non-stop, I was thinking of hooking a pedometer to her and seeing how much walking she does a day. She is so playful and mischievous at the same time. We can't turn our heads for one second with her!

Happy New Year !

Well 2006 was a wonderful year with LOTS of excitement in our lives. The most joyous day was being united with our precious daughter Mia. She has truly blossomed and makes us laugh everyday. We love our new home and look forward to spending many years here. We have created many new friendships and cherish the relationships that we have shared with our friends throughout the years, who seem more like family to us.

Mia loves her family and really enjoys the time she spends with them. Although some family live far away, they try to visit as much as they can and we hope to go visiting them soon too!

I hope 2007 brings as much happiness to everyone as 2006 has brought to us. We wish you all a Happy and Healthy 2007.

A Fun Day at the Park

Mia loves to run around now that she is getting faster on her feet. I have had the week off from work and I definitely have enjoyed it! Mike started a job on Wednesday (after 9 months off) and it requires him to be out of town for a couple days a week. Mike and I went round and round deciding on whether he should accept the position or not, and we just couldn't pass up the opportunity. It is a big sacrifice but it is going to pay off in the end. Isn't that was us parents do for our children? : ). My mom will watch Mia starting next Tuesday and I know she is looking forward to it. She already has her car seat in grandma's car.

Today Mia and I went to the Sebastian County Park and it was such a beautiful day. She looks so BIG in her overalls, she is growing up fast!
