Ni Hao. . . .

Today was a very busy day. We started the day with The Great Wall. As most of you know, that was something that Mike and I really wanted to do. Unfortunately, the weather was very overcast and the views were limited due to the humidity. The sweat was dripping off of us. I thought Florida was humid, but today was no comparison. You could hardly breathe climbing up and under normal conditions the climb is challenging, I stopped just over half way and Mike continued on. The pictures will show what the visibility was like. Just being there was amazing. In person we could see OK, but the pictures did not come out as well. Oh well, you can't control the weather. There is a typhoon (hurricane) in south China and I think we experienced the very outer part. It did not rain, but it was very very humid.

We also went to a jade factory and finished the day with a group foot massage which included your neck, arms, and hands for $20.00 American dollars. You'll see the pictures, we all were in a private room. It was great, they served hot tea and afterwards, we saw a acrobatic dinner show.

The driving here is so CRAZY, I heard about it, but I have never experienced anything like it before. The drive to The Great Wall was very scenic and we saw some of the locals going about there routine. Most people ride bikes, and its amazing more people don't get run over. My mother would have to be blindfolded to ride on the bus.

Tomorrow is our last tour day and Sunday mid day we leave to Guangzhou to meet up with the rest of the USAA families. Keep the emails coming, they are great!

I can't believe Mike kept going!! The steps look very steep and I can hardly breathe looking at that thick air! WOW! It doesn't even look real in the pictures! That is amazing! How wonderful that you are experiencing all these wonderful events and getting a beautiful daughter to seal the memory of your trip! We can't wait to see her in your pictures!!!
